On Friday, we headed over to Arlington to hang out with my family. Pierce had a great time playing with his Grandad, Grandma, Auntie Alison, and Tio Jose.

On Friday, I took Pierce up to Bluebonnet to meet my students. They were so surprised when I walked in with him. My fabulous sub had prepared them and when I walked in they quietly gathered around me and just looked at him. It was so cute to see them stare at Pierce and ask the sweetest questions. I think Pierce was a little overwhelmed with all the little bodies around him, but he was great nonetheless. Pierce also got to see my teammates and some of the other teachers. It was definitely fun to get to show him off!

A Tight Grab

When we put our fingers or his toys in Pierce's hands he will grab them, but Justin has been trying to teach him how to grab hold of things on his own. A couple of days ago, Pierce grabbed a hold of his links all by himself!

Tummy to Tummy

One of Pierce's favorite thing to do is to lay on his tummy and in the evenings when Justin is home, Pierce loves to lay on Justin.

A Baby and His Puppy

Most of you know that before we had Pierce, Justin and I had Duncan. Duncan made our family a family of 3 almost 4 years ago. When we first got him, he was only 1.5 pounds. It was during the summer and so I took him everywhere with me. He ran many errands with me, he even went into Taco Bell. Each summer since then Duncan has spent many hours up at my classroom helping me out-or just really keeping me company! When we found out we were expecting, everyone asked how we thought Duncan was going to do. Justin and I were confident that he would be a fantastic 'furry brother' to Pierce. And sure enough, Duncan is the BEST 'furry brother' for Pierce. Since we have been home from the hospital, he hasn't missed a feeding. He follows us to Pierce's room each time we go in there. He likes to guard the door to Pierce's room when Pierce is napping. And lately, he loves to be where Pierce is playing. I know that he just can't wait for Pierce to throw his toys for him.

On Saturday night, we went to dinner with Matt, Kendra, and Macie Hall. Macie was born about 7 weeks before Pierce, so Kendra and I are looking forward to when the kiddos can really play together. We went to Hard 8 in Coppell. It is a fabulous BBQ place. According to Justin, it is the only good place to get BBQ in the big city!

Sweet Baby Boy

Pierce is changing so much and each day brings something new. Lately he has been smiling, laughing, and talking more. He really enjoys laying on his tummy and yesterday he rolled over a couple of times-I think it was totally an accident, but he did it! He is also taking hold of this little toys. Since Pierce is still trying to get over this cold, we have been giving him baths with vapor bath soap. He is really starting to enjoy the bathtub and he looks so cute with the bubbles!

Lunch with the Staytons

Some of our favorite people are the Staytons! This family is extra special to Justin and I. Mark was the minister at our wedding, Tina sang in our wedding, and the boys were our ring bearers. I have been close with Mark and Tina for as long as I can remember and they quickly welcomed Justin into their family when we started dating. Justin and I actually remember when Luke was born and holding him when he was the size of Pierce. Since they've moved to Houston, we don't get to see them as much, but we were thankful for the opportunity to see them on New Year's Day!

Happy New Year

Last night we celebrated the New Year with our good friends, the Leaches and the Reynolds. Since there are two little ones, we decided to keep it low key by just having dinner at our place. We let the boys 'play together' for a bit before they went down for the night. We had a fabulous time hanging out, eating, and of course, laughing together!
