A New Toy

For a while now, Pierce has been pulling himself up on everything and even trying to 'cruise' around some things.  So, we thought he would love a little walking today.  And boy were we right.  Here he is pushing/walking with his new toy!

Blame it on the Vampire...

Edward Cullen, that is and his star-crossed lover, Bella.  You see, I had about 5 pages left of the 3rd Twilight book and I just had to finish it.  P woke up from his nap and was ready to play, I on the other hand, needed to find out how the book ended.  So...I read it!  While I was reading, Pierce too was reading (and tearing up) some magazines.

pierce and i headed out to the jack carter pool in plano this morning for some swim time with some friends.  p had a great time splashing around in the pool.  i am so glad that the pool will still be opened on the weekends once school starts, so hopefully we will get in a few more afternoons there!

while justin mowed the front yard this evening, p was very interested in watching his daddy.  he would follow justin as he went back and forth.  i am sure that justin is ready for the day when little p can help him out with yard work.

One of the girls that I teach with, Jenn, had her little baby girl on Sunday night.  Kendra and I took our little ones up to meet Miss Evie today.  She is super cute.  Congrats Jenn and Judd!

9 month stats...

Today we took P in for his 9 month check-up.  He waited so patiently to go and see Dr. Gates.

P's 9 month stats: 17 pounds and  28 inches

Pierce's hair is always a little wild after it has been wet.  I will let you be the judge, but I think he looks pretty darn cute with his hair all over the place.

Happy 9 Month Birthday, Pierce!

I can't believe another month has come and gone; you are becoming such a big boy!  I love your sweet smile and your contagious giggle.  I love how you would rather be standing or moving than sitting and how you have started to 'bear crawl.'  I love how carefully you place your food in your mouth when you are eating.  I love that you love to snuggle with me, but more than anything, I just love being your mom!

Destin - Day 5

day 5 was a beautiful day.  the sun was out all day and the temperature was perfect.  we enjoyed some quality pool time, lots of good reading and laying out time, and a great dinner.  until next year...
