Birthday One

525,600 minutes,
525,000 moments so dear.
525,600 minutes - how do you measure, measure a year?

In daylights, in sunsets,
in midnights, in cups of coffee.
In inches, in miles, in laughter, in strife.
In 525,600 minutes - how do you measure a year in the life?
How about love?
How about love?
How about love?
Measure in love. Seasons of looooooooooooooove.

I am not sure how Justin and I would measure this last year -  maybe in sleepless nights, bottles drank, dirty diapers changed, ''you gotta come see this,''  jars of formula, cackles, number of times we heard P's nighttime music, nicknames given, spit-ups, pictures taken, or even the number of times we saw Duncan lick Pierce in the mouth.  No matter how we count the past 525,600 minutes, I will say that they are full of love for God's gift to us.  We had no idea how life was truly about to change last October 30th, but I honestly can't remember what life was like before then.

So here's to my little birthday boy!  I love you, Peanut!

the unusual

I don't usually let Pierce tear up ads that come in the  mail, but he was having one of those 'fussy' afternoons today.  Days like that are often cause for allowing the unusual.  He had a great time, smiled big smiles, and laughed out loud.

some strawberry cake

Last Saturday night we celebrated my aunt's and cousin's birthdays.  I think Pierce enjoyed the strawberry cake the best!

Saturday Picks

Since Pierce woke up a bit early from his nap this morning, he was able to enjoy his bottle while watching the College Gameday Picks on ESPN.  Such a boy...

One Tooth Wonder

I got a text message from MaraLee this morning that said, "We have a tooth!"
My walking wonder is now a one tooth wonder!

Us 2

Just about everyone in the DFW area was at the Cowboy Stadium with us on Monday night seeing one of the greatest bands ever, U2.  U2 didn't spare any expense for this tour - the set was phenomenal, the venue was unbelievable, and the show was spectacular!

the claw

While we were at the concert, Piece and Macie enjoyed some time at my parents house.

A Costume Party

Pierce and I enjoyed a day off of work on Monday by going to a costume party at Erin and Duke Trevor's house.   We had so much fun playing with his little friends all dressed up.
