Once, twice, three times our baby

Today is little peanut's 3 month birthday!  He has become much more alert in the past month; he loves to look around.  He absolutely loves tummy time and actually prefers his tummy to his back.  He is talking and laughing a lot!  He gives big smiles when we do patty cake with him! He has started to be more aware of Duncan and actually reaches out to touch him when he is next to him.  He loves story time each night and will smile through a bath as long as you are smiling at him.  He is definitely more expressive and makes lots of different faces.

Here are a couple of my monthly pics of him and "Pierce bunny."

Look at how curious he has become!

boys will be boys...

On Thursday, Justin stayed home with Pierce while I went to work.  They had a fun day together being boys!

Pierce is quite a little spitter!  We are constantly changing his clothes, bibs, and washing  his burp cloths.  Justin was holding him over his head when P started to spit.  I had the camera 'in the right place at the right time' and got the most perfect pics of  him spitting on his dad!

Look at how long that spit string is!

Only with dad can you play on the floor with no clothes on!  (check out that cute little bum!)

rolling over (with help from daddy)

On Thursday night, Justin and little P were having some 'boy time.'  Justin thought it would be fun to help Pierce roll over a couple of times.  He managed to get some pics of Pierce in action.

we love us some winter weather!

On Tuesday AND Wednesday, I got the early morning phone call that all teachers love to get....School is cancelled!  Pierce, Duncan, and I had a great time hanging out on Tuesday, and then today Justin got to stay home.  Although he had to do work, we enjoyed having him around.

Can you tell how excited little P is?
Chillin in his bear sweater
playing with mom
all snuggled up with his blanket

Duncan was glad to have us all home!

Look at that smile!

I have loved my extra days at home, but I guess I better hope we have school tomorrow.  If not, we might be in school until July!  I am so looking forward to spring break...only a month and a half away!

snuggling with mom

On Sunday, we got home from church a little bit later than normal.  Pierce had fallen asleep in car and when I moved him to this crib, he had a hard time falling back asleep.  Since I knew that I was going to have to go to work the next week, I thought it would be okay to snuggle with little P during his nap.

Great-Grandparents

Today Pierce's great-grandparents came over to play with him.  Everyone had a fun time.  Papa Bert loves to watch Pierce wrinkle his forehead and NeNe just loves to look at him!  Pierce gave them each many smiles and laughs!

A Basketball Player in the Making...

Justin and I don't ever want to 'persuade' Pierce to do something that he doesn't want to do.  However, Justin would LOVE for him to play basketball or at least enjoy watching it with him one day.  I mean, basketball would only be a natural choice since he is named after a basketball player!  Lately one of Pierce's favorite toys is his basketball rattle.  He had a great time this morning playing with it!

This is one of my favorite pictures of him.  Look at the smile!

Laughing with Dad

After Pierce ate the other night, he was having such a fun time with his dad.

T.G.I.F. (yesterday)

Fridays have always been my favorite day of the week.  It is still most definitely my favorite day of the week for different reasons-I have 2 full days ahead of me to spend with Pierce and Justin (and Duncan, of course).

I was so ready to see Pierce on Friday afternoon.  I actually scooted out of school a couple minutes early and was waiting in my car when MaraLee dropped him off.  As soon as she got out of the car, she went on and on about how great of a day he had.  She said that he was very happy and had smiled all day!  Of course, I couldn't wait to get him home and enjoy some of those smiles.

Here are a couple of pictures that MaraLee got on Friday.

making it through the first week back...

Well, I have almost survived my first week back at work. I am so looking forward to tomorrow and the weekend ahead of us.

MaraLee has definitely made it easier on me to go back to work. I know that Pierce is well-taken care of! MaraLee even takes pictures for me during the day, so I can see what the little peanut has been up too!
