The Robot Room

We have officially made the 'big boy room' transition at the McCord house. To be honest, I was quite worried about it and thought it might be a tough transition for Pierce. Not because he wasn't excited - he's been talking about the robot room for quite some time - but I thought he would get out a lot and not stay in the bed. We are on day 2 and seem to be easily making the transition. (knock on wood.) Here are some pics of the room. We still have somethings to do - hang curtains, get a bookshelf, and hang the robot prints we have ordered. But so far Pierce LOVES his new big boy room!

Veggie Tales Live

Friday night we headed up to Prestonwood to see Veggie Tales Live with Jeff, Becky, and Brady. To be honest, I wasn't sure how well P would do and I was totally ok with leaving early if we needed to. Well....he LOVED it! Him and Brady danced and moved the entire time. They were totally in awe of the veggies and lasted the entire hour and a half.

happy birthday kate

Pierce's little friend Kate celebrated her 2nd birthday this week. P had so much fun running around with his friends at the Willowbend play area, eating Chick fil A, and of course celebrating Kate.

10 Years Later...

I can't believe it has been 10 years since I graduated from high school. Although there has been a lot of life happen since then, I feel like the time has flown by. I truly enjoyed going to my high school reunion this weekend. And I will admit, I did have some expectations for the weekend, but all the festivities exceeded my expectations. I loved getting to see some old friends and catch up with them. There weren't too many 'awkward' moments and most people were pretty much the same as they were 10 years ago. Here are a few pics from the weekend...

Saturday night there was a casino party in a swanky building in downtown Dallas. Imagine an after-prom party (like Mardi Gras Madness) for 30 year olds - drinks, fancy appetizers, cocktail dresses, fun music, and no matching outfits with your date.
