hApPy 2nD BiRtHdAy PiErCe!!

Where has the last 365 days gone? I feel like we were just celebrating Pierce's 1st birthday and it is already time for him to turn 2. I LOVE the stage that P is at (most of the time). He is full of personality, always on the go, loves to talk, and is so much fun. I treasure the sweet moments we get to spend together and I love being his mom!

Happy 2nd Birthday, Pierce!!

Last Day Being One

We kicked off Pierce's Birthday weekend with a trip to the mall for 2 of Pierce's favorite things: Chick-fil-A and riding carousels.

the robot shoe

I am sure this will be our first of many trips to get an x-ray...

On Sunday night, P was running around. When he fell, I honestly didn't think anything about it. He is a 2 year old boy who runs all the time and is always falling over. When he wouldn't get up and started crawling, I thought something might be wrong. He continued to not want to put any weight on it and when he started walking on Monday afternoon, he had a funny little wobble. After a few days of watching him, we decided to take him to a pediatric orthopedic doctor. The doctor x-rayed his leg and determined that it is likely that Pierce fractured his leg and it had already started to heal on its own. In order to 'slow him down' and help protect the healing process, he put P in a walking boot. And in order to make it more fun, we have nicknamed it "The Robot Shoe."

fixin' it...

a couple boxes came in the mail the other day and p had a great time "fixing" them.

Baylor's Homecoming

We woke up extra early this Saturday morning and headed down to Waco for Baylor's Homecoming. We haven't been in a couple of years and I was super excited about taking Pierce and enjoying all that surrounds Baylor's Homecoming. We made it down there for the parade and despite the on and off rain sprinkles, we had a great time. After the parade, we headed to Rene's house for a quick lunch from Bush's with friends and then off to Touchdown Alley to get in on all the pre-football action. We did head home before the game (and it was a good thing because there was a rain delay), but we had a great time! I can't wait to take Stella in a couple of years!

the greatest school on earth

In honor of the 2010-2011 Bluebonnet Elementary School yearbook, The Greatest School on Earth, we had a circus day on Friday. Although it was kinda a crazy day, we had lots of fun! My team dressed up as the elephants. I thought we were darn pretty cute! Thank you to my sweet husband who helped make the costumes!

Pumpkin Patch

Justin and I took P out the Flower Mound Pumpkin Patch on Saturday morning. Despite the heat, he definitely enjoyed himself. It was like a mini fair complete with rides, food, and fun!
