new 'friends'

while out shopping on black friday - yes, i did brave the madness at 5 am - i picked up toy story 3 for justin and i. we hadn't seen it, but there was a good deal at target so i thought why not just buy it. well, we put the movie in the other evening and p loved it! he sat and watched for 45 whole minutes until we put him to bed and then the first thing he asked for the next morning was buzz. i thought these pics were just too cute of him enjoying his 'new friends.'

it's beginning to...

...look a lot like Christmas

We decorated our home this past week for the Christmas season - my most favorite time of the year. I love coming home from work and plugging in all the lights and lighting my Christmas candles. Pierce has enjoyed his Christmas books, the fun holiday candy, and all that comes along with this "most wonderful time of the year."

can't wait for Stella's stocking to be up there next Christmas
Pierce's very own sports Christmas tree in his room
A list of all the holiday things I want to do with Pierce ....
I got this idea from my friend Becky when she made one for her summer plans.
Here's to hoping we get most of things marked off.

Thanksgiving with the McCords

Since we didn't make it to Sweetwater for Thanskgiving, Justin's family all came over on Saturday for a late Thanksgiving lunch. We had a great time celebrating in our house with everyone - I definitely felt like an adult, since we were in charge of most of the meal and hosting. The food was all yummy, the fellowship was excellent, and the cousins had so much fun playing together.

Thanksgiving as a Family of 3

This year for Thanksgiving we did things a little different - we stayed home and just celebrated as a family of 3. Although we missed seeing our families and eating a huge meal, we definitely savored every minute as a family of 3. We slept in, watched the Macy's parade, ate a Central Market lunch, and went to the Cowboys game.

Pierce loved the Cowboys game - and Justin and I loved getting to mark off our "sports bucket list" going to a Thanksgiving Day game. Pierce loved waving his Cowboy's flags, high-fiving everyone around us, and eating the stadium food. (And mommy loved seeing Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban on the jumbo-tron!)

all for you, miss stella

tuesday was pink shirts and blue jeans day for miss stella at bluebonnet elementary - i just love that our principal celebrates new arrivals this way! so of course, i had pierce and justin wear pink too in honor of our newest family member. here we are in our pink! just a few more weeks - 8 to be exact - until miss stella makes her appearance!!

Ahhhhhhhh...Sic'em Bears!

Pierce and I headed to Waco with my parents last weekend to cheer on the Baylor Bears. Although our Bears lost to the Aggies (boo!), we had a good time. Pierce loved the game and all that went along with it. I had never in all my years seen Floyd Casey Stadium so crowded - it was a true college football experience!

mccord family day...

last friday we took a much needed 'mccord family day.' with justin traveling a lot lately for work, we hadn't had an all day family day in a while. so justin and i both took off work and we just hung out with p. it was perfect. we went to einstein's for breakfast, the children's museum for some playtime, eno's pizza for lunch, and then home to relax. we had such a great time together as a family and i was super thankful for the the uninterrupted time together!
