potty training: day 3

(feel free to just scroll down to see the 2 pics that i got at the end of the day if you have no interest in reading about p's potty training adventures. :) )

p woke up this morning and put on his big boy undies with no problem.
and preceded to have a fabulous day.
no accidents and told me all day when he needed to go.

he even had a #2 success! can you believe it?!?!

i know that we have been home for the 3 days with no distractions so i am not sure what playing with friends, riding in the car, running errands, or eating out will look like - but i do know that p knows when he needs to go and he is good at communicating it.

so here's to taking on the real world in big boy undies!!

potty training: day 2

day 2 is under our belts.
and pierce had NO tee-tee accidents today!!
(2 #2 accidents, but like i said yesterday, i was totally expecting that part)
i am so proud of him! i guess he was really ready - despite my hesitation.

so with the three day method you are suppose to give them lots of liquids to make them need to go a lot. pierce has drank a ton of juice boxes, some gatorades, some sunny d's, bottle waters...you name it, he has drank it. so today my mom came over for a bit and she brought frozen hot chocolate from serendipity.
and in pierce's own words, "this is yuuummmmy!"
i honestly couldn't be more proud of my peanut.
he told me about half the times today that he needed to go.
even though i asked him about 1 million times.
he gets so excited each time and after washing his hands he runs to his m&m jar
and God answered another prayer of mine...
i was really worried about stella through this whole process. worried about having to set her down in the middle of a bottle to go with p to the potty or that she wouldn't nap good, ect.
but honestly....she's been perfect. perfectly content. and happy.

Pierce is...

DoNe WiTh DiApErS!!

I hesitate to write the post, but here I go:

The Potty Training process has begun at the McCord house.
Today was Day #1.

We decided to go with the 3 Day method - I know that Pierce is not going to be fully potty trained in 3 days, but after today I think we are well on our way.

After 2 accidents right away this morning, Pierce had 10 successes! And no accidents after 8:00am. (We are however using Pull-Ups at naps and night time.) We did have a #2 incident, but I was fully expecting that.

I honestly can't believe he did so well today. I've been praying about this process for a while and Justin and I both prayed this morning before we started. I am fully prepared for tomorrow the 'newness' to wear off and the process to not be as successful...
So my little Peanut ran around in his big boy undies and a t-shirt all day.
He was cute and sweet about the whole process and got so excited for himself when he did it. The M&M's also helped. :)
I can't believe that I have changed this little man's last diaper.
When did he get so big?
So here's to lookin' at this cute little bum for the next 2 days as we continue on this process.

NKOTBSB

New Kids on the Block and Backstreet Boys

the concert was fabulous - it was way more that I expected
it lived up to all mine (and Becky's) expectations
Justin hooked us up with tickets in the Ticketmaster suite.
(Thanks babe!)
after one not so good first act
and then a great act from Jordin Sparks
the BOYS took the stage
and they were amazing!
they went back and forth singing their most popular songs.
and yes, we sang along to all of them!
they sang.
they danced.
some of them took their shirts off.
and they danced and sang some more.
the AAC was packed with girls - screaming girls
girls screaming so loud that you couldn't hear the first few songs.
when we left our ears were ringing and our voices were hoarse
and it was way past our bedtimes
but is was totally worth. it. all.

indoor safari park

janet and i took pierce and kate (and stella and brynlee) to this new play place that just opened by our houses - the indoor safari park. we weren't exactly sure what to expect, but it actually turned out really fun - and the kids loved it. they played and played for 2 hours and never once asked for a snack or to go home. they played in the ball pits and on the slides, rode the train twice, rode the electronic animals once, jumped on the trampoline, and played some more.

here's a peek into our visit...

The ARK

My friend Jenn, who I teach with, told me about this great cheap indoor play place in Coppell. It is called the Ark and it is at FBC Coppell. And it is fabulous. Pierce, Stella, and I met my friend from Keller up there on Thursday, and the boys had a great time running aroud.

the toddler play place...
the play place that Pierce preferred.

i swim emler

well i don't, but p does. and he loves it.

there are so many things that impress me about swim lessons...
that p is actually learning to swim
that p can hold his breath for 10 seconds in water
that p can swim 7 feet
that p can jump off the side and swim back to the side
that p can patiently wait his turn while sitting on a turtle
and that my 2 1/2 year old will do anything for one M&M

pierce is definitely a little fish.
or at least becoming one... minus the fins, gills, and scales.

so close.

to sittin' up all by herself.

and this one...
so close to being able to count to 10
right now he says 1,2,3,4,5,6,9,10
(just skips 7 and 8 - but do they really matter?!?!)
you can tell by these pictures p's true personality...
he is much more of a "silly and would rather be playing" boy than doing anything 'educational.' much like his daddy!
and to be honest, this is one of the things i love the most about him and justin - even though i am a teacher. and i know all that 'learning' stuff will come. when he is ready.
