P and the Pillows

P loves to hang out on our bed. He especially loves playing with the pillows and sliding off the bed all by himself. I put him on the bed last night while I was doing laundry and I found him hiding in the pillows.

Standing on Top of the World

or in Pierce's case, standing on top of the laundry basket. Pierce has become quite the little climber lately - he truly has no fear.

Lifetime Membership

Many of you know how much I LOVE the Golden Girls. I spent many evenings in college watching the adventures of those 4 old ladies. Last weekend Betty White (my favorite Golden Girl) received a "Lifetime Achievement Award" at the SAG awards. And this week, I too received a "Lifetime Membership" Award. Mine wasn't for acting in a million movies, but for being an active participant in the Bluebonnet PTA. Although I didn't leave with a golden statue, the beautiful flowers and kind words were WAY more than enough for me.

my 2 biggest fans - oh, how i am so thankful for them

Introducing...

Fine Times....

If you know my Justin, you know that he is very creative and has his own 'sense of style.' Justin and his other 'stylish and creative' friend, Matt, have been working on a new project - Fine Times. I am so proud of them and think that they have a really neat blog started. I encourage you to check it out!

6.2 miles

"I can do everything (run 6.2 miles) through Him who gives me strength." Philippians 4:13

Today was a big day for me - I ran in my first ever 'race.' You see, I am not a runner and I don't try to claim that I am, but after talking to my sweet friend Becky about training and running in a half marathon, I thought to myself, "I can do this." After spending many mornings in prayer, especially praying for strength and a peace of mind, I decided that I could do this - with the help of the Holy Spirit, of course. After recruiting Julie and Janet to also run with us - and Kaytie as our 'coach' and encourager - we set off in pursuit of the finish-line of the Rock 'n' Roll Half Marathon in March. So as week 3 of our training came to a close, we had to run 6 miles and what a better way to prepare than to run in an actual 10K.

the greatness of the iphone

Before Justin got me an iphone, I was very content with my Blackberry. Actually I loved my Blackberry. After having the iphone since summer, I can honestly say that it is way cooler than the Blackberry. And very addicting! The other night, Justin found an old cartoon on YouTube and pulled it up on his phone. Pierce thought it was so neat and he couldn't get close enough to the screen.

bath time fun

I don't think I could love this little man any more than I do!!

C is for Cookie

There is no better snack in the eyes of Pierce (and the Cookie Monster) than a chocolate chip cookie!

a new hideout

After watching Duncan go behind the couch many times, P thought it was his turn to try it. Since discovering this new 'hide-out,' P has loved to get in between the couch and the window for some playtime.

Treats from Philly

Justin was in Philadelphia part of the week for a work meeting. While in Philly, Justin ate an authentic cheesesteak, saw the Liberty Bell and the Rocky steps, went to a '76ers game, and got P these fun foam fingers! Pierce had so much fun playing with them as soon as he figured them out.

Sunday Afternoon

Pierce's Sunday afternoon snack gets to be eaten in a 'special' place - in the living room, in front of the TV with daddy!
And this afternoon, it was FINALLY warm enough (not warm, just in the 40's) for us to enjoy some outside time! P loved being outside and was not a happy camper when we had to go inside.

In honor of the Artic blast...

...we had bobsled races tonight at our house!! The laundry basket acted as the bobsled, mom or dad acted as the driver, and P was the rider.

in sled with cap on...ready to go

the hallway was our 'track'

at the "finish-line"

And after all that hard work, a drink break was in order.
