half birthday

My life forever changed 18 months ago...

I can't believe that our little peanut is already half way to his 2nd birthday. Where has the time gone?? Each day Pierce grows up more and discovers something new. He is so many things, but some of my favorites right now are: climber, independent, silly, charmer, chatterer, free spirit, polite, big boy and son.

Friends from Boston

Today after school Pierce and I headed to a Chick-Fil-A in Grapevine to meet one of my high school friends, Kelli, who was in town from Boston. Kelli had a little boy, Quinn, about 3 months ago and I loved getting to meet him. We had a great time catching up and playing with our little boys.

Already?

Lately I have frequently been having those "mommy moments" when I look at P and wonder when he got big enough for certain things. I am continually amazed at the big boy he is becoming. While eating dinner with Becky the other night, the boys ate supper at Brady's little table and I couldn't help think they were babies just the other day.

Like Father, Like Son

pierce's grandma and grandad brought over an early summer treat yesterday - a splash table. this fun little table has a sand side, a water side, and lots of little toys to go along with it. i can already foresee many, many, many hours of summer fun with this table. thanks grandma and grandad!

family date nite

tonight we started a new mccord family tradition - family date nite. we often just hang out on friday night and do our grocery shopping, but we decided earlier this week that we wanted to mix it up. no grocery shopping and something fun for the little peanut. so in honor of one of p's favorite things to eat, pancakes, we headed to ihop. and pierce loved his 'fancy' pancake and drinking out of a big boy cup with a straw. after dinner we headed to ikea to walk around and let p play with their toys. he had a great time and even made it out of there with a little treat. we are excited for next month's family date night and are hoping this becomes a monthly tradition for us.

last weekend we gave pierce his first little haircut. his hair isn't that long, but he definitely had a little 'tail' in the back. justin was an excellent barber and pierce did great.

My sweet baby sister gave birth last night to my newest nephew - and he is absolutely precious! Alison did great and had a pretty easy labor. We are all so proud of her and couldn't be more excited about loving on and spoiling our newest family member.

Since Luke was born after Pierce's bedtime, Pierce didn't get to meet him until today. We headed up to the hospital after church so we could introduce the cousins and of course get a little snugglin' too.

Pierce got to celebrate 2 of his very most special friends, Sydney and Brady, on Saturday. First we headed to Sydney's "All Things Pink" party and then we went to Brady's Golf Party. Pierce had a great time at both parties celebrating his sweet friends!

Easter Sunday

Our Easter celebrations continued on Sunday after church at my parents' house. We had a fun time hanging out with my family, eating yummy food, and of course hunting some Easter eggs.
