8:00am soccer game.

getting up early Monday - Friday doesn't bother me that much. 
i mean...it just have to do it.
but getting up early on Saturday is not that easy....
and yet, 8:00am soccer games call our names sometimes.

so this saturday we were up before the sun and out the door (to get the snacks which i might have forgotten to get earlier in the week) early.

luckily we missed the rain with the early start and enjoyed a fun game and a win!

a phrase that i feel like i heard a lot right after justin and i got married.

close friends that can walk with you through the highs and lows of life.

i feel like God has blessed us with a few of these friends.

and not all that we see all that time.

but those people who you can call on and in a minute's notice will do whatever they can for you.

friends who are praying for us.  and encouraging us.   and loving us through daily life.

and boy am i thankful for these friends.

a couple of weeks ago, we got to together with a few families.

and it was so much fun.

the kids ran around.

we ate yummy food.

and laughed a lot.

it was a good time.

and good for my soul.

school started almost 4 weeks ago...

and i am just now posting our first day of school picture.

pretty much sums up how fast life gets when school starts.

so....here we are.

first soccer game of the season

soccer season has started.

and game #1 was last weekend.

the same day as the heart walk in memory of bobby.

since pierce and justin couldn't be in the heart walk, pierce worn his BR19 band.

one of my kids favorite characters right now is doc mcstuffins.

the doctor to the stuffed animals.

last week she was in fort worth with her doc mobile.

and i surprised the kids by picking them up early and taking them on an adventure.

it was so much fun.

we meet bella, kate, and brynlee at cfa and then headed to fort worth.

when we got there we handed the kids their stuffed animals and told what we were up to.

and they were sooooo excited.

apparently lots of people had the same idea as us.

we had to wait.

but thankfully we were at the museum.

so we ventured through the museum while we waited our turn.

it was soooo hot outside and doc took lots of breaks to come in and cool off.

we may or may not have stalked her in order to get a picture.

i absolutely loved spending an afternoon with my kids.
