twenty-fourteen was a good year.
i would say it was a year of transition.
sell our home. move to arlington. get a new job 3 weeks before school starts.
pierce and i both start a new normal - kindergarten/new job for me.
house gets finished. moved in. and attempt to get settled.
graduate from grad school.
then the holidays were here.
it was busy year for sure.
but full of so many wonderful things.
we couldn't be more thankful for our new home.
and the opportunity the Lord has given us in a new neighborhood.
our family was able to experience much together.
the most memorable was the:
trip to california for 10 days.
which included a trip to disneyland.
and the opportunity to see one of best friends in the whole wide world.
my sweet college roommate. and her precious 2 boys.
pierce learned to read this year.
lost his first 2 teeth.
played a lot of soccer.
well...where do i start?
she discovered a love for all things girly.
glitter. sparkles. princess.
and yet can take down her brother.
both kids' love the baylor bears has grown this year.
and that makes this momma bear so. very. happy.
i mean, pierce's hero right now is bryce petty.
and stella wants to be a baylor cheerleader.
and well...i just love my hubby.
he totally picked up my slack in 2014.
grad school + working full time will totally knock a person down.
and yet, sweet justin did so much for me.
and without complaining.
what a man.
and he loves me and kids so well.
putting jesus first and us second.
and challenging us to live more like jesus each day.
so, hello 2015.
we welcome you.
and hopefully your stability.
or more than last year.
we are excited for you.
and all that you have in store.
as i think about this year, there is a "anthem" if you will that keeps playing in my mind:
"Spirit lead me where my trust is without borders
Let me walk upon the waters
Wherever You would call me
Take me deeper than my feet could ever wander
And my faith will be made stronger
In the presence of my Savior"
this is my prayer for me.
and my family.
i pray that we allow the Spirit to lead us.
that we would "walk upon the water" trusting the Lord.
i desire for my faith to be made stronger.
i desire to feel the presence of Jesus.
every. single. day.
i want to follow him.
and the places he wants me to go.
you know...i have no idea what this will look like.
but i know one thing:
i am ready.
i am ready to trust him. fully.
i am ready for him to lead our family.
in all areas. all the time.
"You call me out upon the waters
The great unknown, where feet may fail
And there I find You in the mystery
In oceans deep, my faith will stand"
"And I will call upon Your name
And keep my eyes above the waves
When oceans rise
My soul will rest in Your embrace
For I am Yours, and You are mine."
