the state fair.

the state fair of texas: a fall favorite of ours.
we went last saturday - texas/ou weekend - and had a blast.
we saw lots of wild fans, ate some fried food (the smore was my favorite), rode some rides, saw and petted some animals, saw espn's gameday set-up, and just had a great time.
here's a peek into our fair visit. (lots of pics below...)

3/4 of a year

well little miss ... you are 9 months old today.
i can't believe it. as much as i love each milestone, sometimes i just want time to slow down.
i love this age.
you are into everything.
speed crawling and pulling up on everything.
and i found you climbing up a chair and onto a table this weekend...you are fearless, just like your brother.
you love to "talk."
no official words, but lots of babbling and laughing.
and you love to eat! you are eating lots of 'real' food.
you still have your daddy's blue eyes.
they are beautiful!
and i think it is safe to say they are here to stay.
you aren't the biggest fan of the bow.
i try it sometimes, but you usually pull it off.
you, little squirt, are my sunshine.
i love being your mommy.

PCA Homecoming

Friday night we headed out the PCA Homecoming game. A sweet friend of ours, Camryn Clark, was up for Homecoming Queen. We had a great time enjoying the football atmosphere and cheering for Miss Camryn.

(P didn't want to take a picture with her, but he's been talking about her since Friday night.)

a extra special weekday treat.

jeff and becky had something to do last week, so we got to watch brady and charlotte one night. it was so fun for everyone to have a playmate. i am so thankful for these sweet little ones and their sweet friendships with my kiddos.

here are the girls in their jammies ready for bed. precious little ones.

and these 2 boys crack me up. they play so well together - most of the time. sure there is lots of noise, toys banging around, and the occasional tackle, but they are just boys having a good time. and i love watching them.

whatever it takes.

I sometimes find myself doing things that I always said I won't do.
It's the nature of being a mom.

A few weeks ago, Stella was dedicated at church. And after church we went to lunch.
I don't know about your almost 3 year old, but with my sweet children it is often better to just head home after church instead of trying to fight the crowds and the late nap that follows.

Well...Stella's Sunday proved to be no different. By the end of lunch, P was done. It was time for his nap. He wasn't being terrible, but definitely ready to leave.

So Justin let P "take some pictures" and everyone helped by making funny faces for P to take a picture of. He thought it was so much fun! And it bought us a little more time at the table.

Happy FUNNY FACE Day to you!!

soccer.

pierce loves soccer.
soccer on tv. soccer in the front yard. soccer in the back yard. soccer in the living room.
soccer anywhere, anytime is perfect by pierce.
even soccer with play dough.
