Pierce's 1/2 Birthday

Can it really be Pierce's 1/2 birthday already??  I am truly amazed at how fast the time goes with a little one.  Justin, Duncan, and I continue to fall more in love with little P each day.   I don't want to get all mushy and stuff....but this little man means the world to me!

He changes so much each day.  He is rolling all over the place, can almost sit up all by himself (he practices with Mrs. MaraLee each day), laughs at funny noises, tries to put everything, and still adores Duncan!

Little P is on a 4 hour schedule - eating at 6, 10ish, 2ish, and 6ish each day.  He also eats cereal in the morning after his first bottle and in the evening before his last bottle.  I am hoping we can start solid food next week after our doctor's appointment.

Here are a few pics of my little 1/2 year old!!

No Girls Allowed

Today I went to hang out with some of my college girlfriends.  We had a great time hanging out together by the pool, drinking yummy drinks, and just having 'girl time.'  I unfortunately forgot my camera, so I don't have any pics of my day.

While I was gone, the boys had their very own "boy time."  You can tell from the pictures that they had a great time playing basketball and playing outside with Duncan.  I am not sure they missed me much! :)

This might be one of my new favorite pictures.  I think P looks so cute staring at Duncan.

Put Me in Coach, I'm Ready to Play!

NBA Playoffs 2009 are here!!  We, of course, are rooting for our beloved Celtics.  Although they got off to a slow start, they are doing much better now.  With 2 players (KG and Poe) out, little P suited up today, with his green basketball shorts and all, and is ready to play if Doc Rivers calls him up!

Here is the cutest lil' Celtic fan ever!

I Remember When

...this little man was only 6 pounds and 5 ounces. Yesterday, Pierce and I went to go and visit Jerica and baby Jacob and I was just amazed at how little Jacob was. Jerica was telling me that he was about 6 pounds and 5 ounces since losing some of his birth weight.   It is  hard to believe that my little almost 6 month old was that small when we brought him home from the hospital.

MaraLee is the BEST!  She often either takes pics of my little man or sends me some on my cellphone while he is playing.  Here a couple pictures of him playing last week at her house.  He has a GREAT time with her!!

Sunday Morning Best

I use to think that only little girls had cute clothes.  Once some my friends started having little boys, I began looking closely at their clothes.  And boy was I wrong.  Little boy clothes are precious!  I actually love picking out clothes for little P and getting him all dressed up in his stylish duds!

Flexible Lil' Thing

The little Peanut has been playing with his feet for awhile now.  But this weekend, he started to show off just how flexible he really is.  It cracks me up that he can get all his toes into his mouth.  Just too cute!

Saturday in Arlington

On Saturday one of my good friends from growing up was having a baby shower in Arlington.  Pierce and I went to the shower and afterwards we all hung out with my parents and grandparents.  Pierce had a great time getting lots of love.

Glow in the Dark Rubber Ducks

For one of my showers, my mom gave Pierce these Glow in the Dark Rubber Duckies.  They were so cool!  The pictures don't really do them justice, but little P loved them!

Braday's 1st Birthday Party

Today we celebrated Brady's 1st Birthday.  We had a such a fun time celebrating with him and all his little friends.  Jeff and Becky did a FABULOUS job with the party.  It was a Noah's Ark theme and everything was so cute and perfect!  Jeff even built an ark!!

Good Friday

Today is Good Friday....this day is GOOD for many reasons.  Mainly because what we celebrate today.  I was thinking about a lot today, this being my first Easter season as a mom, and I can't imagine sending my one and only son to the cross to die.  I can NOT imagine what it was like for Mary as she watched Jesus - fulfilling God's wonderful plan - die on the cross.  I sure do look at Easter in a completely different view now that I am a mom.   Nonetheless, I am so grateful for God's complete forgiveness and gift of eternal life that came from that day and that cross.

Today is also good because I am off work today!  I get a whole extra day at home with my little P and my wonderful husband.  We sure are enjoying a great day together!

So, I feel like I always try to change P's diapers too soon.  And today was no different.  So while he 'finished his business' I let him play on the ground in just a diaper.  He had a great time!

Duncan was playing with us too and Pierce thought Duncan's toy looked fun!

The infamous 3 generation side smile of McCord men. (post coming with pics of all the boys.)

Thankful that Dad was home today too...

a little more cereal and a 'cereal' killer

We continue to try cereal each day and each day it gets a little bit better.  However I am not sure if more cereal ends up on my little P or in his mouth.  :)

Today we had a 'cereal' killer appearance....Justin and I were in Pierce's room changing him when we heard something in the living room.  We went back in there to see Pierce's cereal bowl completely empty.  Duncan had helped himself to the rest of the bowl.

And a little fun before bed time

something new to eat...

Tonight Pierce tried cereal for the first time!  We waited a little while longer than I thought we would, but we wanted to make sure his reflux and breathing were all taken care of before we added something new to his routine.  I am planing on giving him his cereal each evening about an hour before his last bottle, but we waited for dad today since it was the first day.  He actually did pretty good!  I can't believe that my little baby is already old enough to be eating cereal!!

The first taste

a little unsure

He started to get a little upset, especially since he could see his bottle.

Really mad...

Bottle break...much happier

After the bottle break, we tried it again.  This time we got a much better response!

Eating in style...check out that mismatched outfit!  (He had an accident on his original outfit!)

Sydney's Birthday Party

This afternoon we went to sweet Sydney's 2nd birthday party.  It was a "Mickey Mouse" theme and Sydney was so cute!

the joy of little boys...

Little boys are so fun.  Really they are.  And I can only bet how much more fun they get when they are older.  One of the things about little boys that is sometimes 'not so fun' is their inability to control the time and place when they urinate.  Pierce did his best sprinkler impression (and I am not talking about the dance move) today when we got home today.  His spray of tee-tee went all over my pants that were just back from the dry cleaners.  Guess we will be sending the pants straight back to the Dry Clean Super Center down the street.

But 'sprinkler' or not, who could resist this sweet face?
