5 Months Already

Yesterday was Pierce Jacob's 5 month birthday...I really can't believe he is already that old!  It is crazy how fast it goes.  I love him more each day and am so thankful that God has entrusted his sweet little life to me!  I am more than blessed to be called "Pierce's mom!"

Few tid-bits about the Peanut...

• He loves to talk and giggle
• He has a huge grin (that melts my heart)
• Drools like crazy
• Sleeps through the night (has been since 3 months)
• On a 3-hour schedule...trying to move to a 4 hour one
• Loves to sing songs, do football signals with Dad, and read stories
• And spent the night away from home for the first time this weekend!  Thanks Grandma and Grandad for a fabulous night out!  P had a wonderful time and Mom and Dad enjoyed the time together.

Birthday Celebration and FC Dallas Game

Today Gram and Paw Paw (Justin's parents) came in town to celebrate Justin's and our niece, Hillary's, birthday.  We had a great time hanging out together and all enjoying our first ever Major League Soccer game.

After lunch we all headed out to Pizza Hut Park to attend our first MLS game.  We had a good time - even though I don't know much about soccer.  I am sure that I will have many more opportunities to learn! :)

This last picture is definitely not the best picture of me.  Justin has been telling me for the past month that I need to 'embrace' soccer and the soccer culture.  He even bought me a cute pink FC Dallas shirt.  I actually did have a great time today.  I just need to read up and learn some more about the game.  At the end of the game today, Justin took this 'not-so-fabulous' picture of me.  He said that it was my 'learning to embrace soccer' picture!

Saturday Morning Fun

Being a working mom and such, I pretty much live for the weekends with my family.  Although I  have such a peace about being at work, I do LOVE my time at home on the weekends.  One of most favorite times is Saturday morning.  I love waking up to hearing Pierce 'talking' to himself, feeding him, and then all staying in our pj's for playtime.  Here we are playing together early this Saturday morning.  Duncan, of course, doesn't miss playtime either!

More recently Pierce has been so interested in Duncan.  He smiles at Duncan, laughs at him, follows him with his eyes, and just seems genuinely interested in him.

Today is my wonderful husband's birthday!  Pierce, Duncan, and I have had a fabulous day celebrating Justin!  We are so thankful to have such an amazing husband and dad!

After a major blowout this evening, we gave Pierce a quick bath before we put him down for the night.  He just looked so cute in his little towel that I had a grab a few quick pictures.

Usually when I get home from work, I feel bad leaving Pierce in his car seat to go on a walk.  Therefore, I haven't gotten my exercise in lately.  Yesterday I decided to try the little peanut in his stroller without the car seat....and he LOVED it!  He loved looking around at all the fun sights outside.  He talked the whole time too!  I am so thankful for this 'new ride' and hopefully we will be walking much more now that the weather is nicer!

The past week we have enjoyed some very special visitors - the Dentts!  Ryan and Julie were in town for a wedding, but came a few days early to hang out with Justin and I and to meet little P.  We had such a wonderful time just hanging out with them.  Pierce loved having our special friends around to love on him for a few days.  They just left and Duncan is already missing his snuggle friends.   We are already planning a trip out to San Diego to visit sometime this summer!  Thanks for a great visit, Ryan and Julie!  We love you both!
