42...

It is hard to believe that 6 weeks, 42 days, ago little Pierce was born. 42 days ago from right now, Justin and I were sitting in the Labor and Delivery room waiting for 9:00 to arrive. Here we are, 6 weeks on the other side of that day. As I thought about the fact that Pierce was 42 days old today, I started to make a list in my mind of all the reasons/things that I love about him. So here is my list (with Justin's reasons too) of 42 things that I love about my little P.

1. the way he holds my finger

2. the way that he wrinkles his forehead

3. his dark blue eyes

4. the way he sleeps in the 'touchdown' position

5. his peach fuzz hair

6. the way he stares at Duncan when he is next to him

7. that he lets Duncan kiss all over him

8. the fact that he already loves Duncan

9. the way he smacks his mouth when he is hungry

10. his side smile

11. his dreaming smile

12. all of his names (Pierce, PJ, Peanut, little P, P, Mr. Peanut)

13. the feeling we get when we lock eyes with him

14. having him lay on my legs

15. how he loves to snuggle, especially in the evening

16. the way that he loves to stare at the lights and the fan

17. the way his hair curls in the back when it is wet

18. the spit bubbles that he makes when you blow on his face

19. his thinking face

20. the noises he makes while he eats

21. the way that he loves to lay on his changing table and stare up at the letters on the wall

22. his burps

23. the good shopper that he is

24. the way he doesn't mind to watch his mom's tv shows while he eats

25. his 'talking voice'

26. the moment when he has worn himself out crying and his mouth is still moving, but no noise is coming out

27. the way he lays on his playmat and is so content just looking around

28. how cute he looks in all of his clothes

29. his eyelashes

30. the thought that he knows who his mom and dad are

31. the way he loves to listen to stories with mom

32. how he loves to play with his dad

33. when his arms flail and he kicks his legs

34. the way he curls his whole body up when you get him out of bed

35. how he makes us smile even in the middle of the night

36. his long fingers

37. how content he is when his dad gets his boogers out

38. how he falls alseep to the Beatles every night

39. that we know he is always discovering new things around him

40. how the formula dribbles down his chin

41. knowing that he is 1/2 me and 1/2 Justin
