A few firsts...

There are lots of firsts in a newborn's life. The past 6 days have been filled of 'firsts' for Pierce. He slept in his bed for the first time, peed on both his mom and dad for the first time, laid under his play mat for the first time, and many others. Although they have not all been documented, we have taken pictures of a quite a few 'firsts.' Here are some of our favorites:

Here we are on our first family walk!
Duncan was so excited to show Pierce 'his' world!

You can barely see little Mr. Pierce, but here he is all bundled up.

Today we had our first doctor's appointment. Here we are all settled in our carseat ready to go meet Dr. Gates. The appointment went well and Pierce is gaining his weight back nicely. It was definitely nice to hear that we are doing things right.

If you know Justin, you know that he requires showers before bedtime each day-regardless of the day's activities. He has been anxiously awaiting Pierce's first sponge bath. This was quite an experience to say the least. Pierce didn't really like his first sponge bath, hopefully this will change with more experience. And of course, right as we were about to dry him off, he peed everywhere-even on the camera. Justin did freak out at first, but we got the camera dried off and then tested it out, and it still worked
Here is Pierce all dried off and much happier!

Justin trying to calm him down.

Pierce not enjoying this bath. Look at that face-how sad!

And I've never heard of one baby who loved their first spongebath... it will all get better once you can submerge the little cutie in warm water:)

That first week is sooo exciting and tiring at the same time.....I look back on those first few weeks and they are my most treasured moments being a new mom....even sleep-deprived!!haha. How much does he weigh now? Are you breastfeeding? How long is Justin off from work? Well, thanks for sharing these adorable pics of Pierce. He's precious!
